Question Globalsat BR304

Is there anyone who can tell me if BR304 needs a driver for the com port?
It might seems like a strange question...I have used mine for a year and last week my pc crashed so I had to reinstall windows and now it doesnīt work?
Im using mapmonkey + and a Epia M1000 so the gps uses com1 but in MM I can only set com2, com3??? I must have missed something
Please help me

You shouldn't need any drivers then. Try disabling MM's advanced mode, and going into the D3 settings and selecting 'Find GPS', and see what it picks up.
