BU303 and S&T2k5 problems

My bu303 came in today and I was all excited, so I installed Streets and Trips 2005, all went ok. The driver for bu 303 is 9.0 off the cd shipped.

However when I load up S&T it doesnt detect me. It sits on "initializing" for minutes at a time until we try to reset something. It found me once, but I was driving through peoples' houses it was off by half a block. And then I started moving faster (gaining up to speed limit) and I lost signal and havent been able to get it back since.

Whats the deal with it? Is there a setting I've missed somewhere?

EDIT: There are clouds above me, but that kinda sucks if clouds will disable the use of my gps

Try the software on the BU303 cd that just shows how much signal you have etc. That way you will know if it's a problem with the hardware or software.

If it turns out to be no signal, try placing the receiver outside the car it will probably fix it. Then you'll have to find a place inside the car where it works, you can try the front and rear windows or, worst case scenario, you'll have to find a way to place it outside.

Damn, dont have a cdrom with me anymore so I cant check it until later. Anything else I can try?

Could it be because of clouds? (They dont seem to thick, sun comes through em every now and then)
