Yup, when in doubt use the highest ohm reading test and always try the other way if nothing is registered...if still nothing then you can almost be sure it isnt connected to anything.

sometimes!
Well, I stuck it on and it still seems to work - cold start(as there's no back-up battery yet) - around 40 secs as per the spec sheet.

Ok finding the VSS wire behind the dash was easy enough, that's done..........but I've run out of time today to work on the car!!
First I need to add another couple of connectors onto the daughter board(tonight) and then run the VSS and the forward/reverse wire back to the pc where they will connect. Finally I'll be able to give it a mobile test. Tomorrow or over the weekend.

Amazing.... GPS is so crappy here in brazil that that would be an awesome addition!
Can you give us a rough estimate of what you have spent so far? incuding everything, gpsDR module, boards, components, IC, etc...

Yea I second that.. My bu303 doesnt do anything anymore  . On the GPStest software I get random characters. and no sat locs, If this is better than those USB devices on Ebay, Im interested in this.

Well when I priced it out, it was going to be around $260 for the GPS board and the Gyro. If I remember correctly the antenna was around $31 the MAX233 you can get free as samples, or otherwise they are pretty cheap to purchase. Other than that you just have the price of the circuit board and misc cheap parts. Unless the prices have changed your going to end up spending around $310 for the DR setup.
