Street Atlas 2005 return from hibernation

I excitedly tried out hibernation on my mp3 box and was rather disappointed to see that when it resumed, street atlas 2005 had disabled the microphone (which would require me to re-check the box to enable it) and lost contact with the GPS reciever (to fix, just have to 'stop' it, and then start it again)

I was wondering if there were any easy fixes to this sort of thing? it would be really nice if I could find some sort of program that can run a simple macro on resume from hibernation... Both of those fixes have hotkeys (F4 and Shift+F5, I think) so it would be well suited to some sort of macro. So, are there any little programs around that can do that sort of thing?

thanks in advance

hey man, you ever figure that out? I have street atlas too, and I'm really annoyed that everytime I open it it doesn't remember my settings or anything. I have to continually put my settings back in.

So, your a fellow mainer hugh... where you at? you must still be in school or have something else tying you down here, or youd be leaving... I'm gone in a year!!

nope, never figured it out. I just gave up on hibernate. I don't have a touchscreen, so I can't really use a frontend... otherwise I'd get better GPS software like iguidance.

and yeah, i'm at UMaine for another year, then trying like hell to get out.

I was thinking it has something to do with the map, you can save the map and your settings go with, but I am not sure how to have it to default to a certain map.

There is a way to have hibernate run a program on resume... but I don't know off the top of my head how to do it. And, I don't know how one would go about interfacing with the street atlas software.

I should try a different software I guess. I have road runner cause I use a touch screen, but they are dark as all getout... and I have a convertible so its even worse, but with the weather we have right now... I might as well have a hard top.

The default map is in MS Streets and Trips\Templates\ and is called New_North_American_Map.stt. After I added pins for my house and other stuff, I renamed the origianl to .old and saved the new one in it's place, so that when Streets and Trips starts up, it automatically loads my map. I don't know if that will include the settings also though.
