you have a simular problem as I have.
I use:
Epia M 10000 5
12RAM
WinXP
Holux 210 GPS USB
Cinergy 600TV
D-link bluetooth
M1-ATX

My problem is very like yours. I have a perfect placement for GPS and I get like nothing signal and so on..

I taked PC out and truyed it at home. even in my room I got gps contact, si this works. (I use morex power adapter to my M1-ATX)
Then I took it to the car. nope it don't work. So I thought, maby it is a power problem, Then I hooked up 300W inverter and use the same Morex adapter. Nope stil nothing. I truyed GPS on my second computer and it works fine.
Any ide guys?
could it be some magnetic disturb from my 12" sub og sub amp?
I will try other thing today.
I will plase a PC in the car but I am going to power it from my house using same morex 12V adapter.

I don't think the subwoofers have anything to do with it. I placed mine on the dash, hood, roof, trunk and rear deck...same thing! I did however drive to Canada two weeks ago and the gps worked pretty good...but not good enough. I'm going to buy the opus and try it out. Ppl say it's power.

I faund what it was. I my case the Window tint was the reason. When I put GPS in the car where window tint is placed I get no or VERY low signal. It was not like that for 3 weeks ago before I tintet out my car.

So my explonation is that Window tint whitch is a blach plastic film gluet on to glass is making some of field from the sun whitch disturb radio and GPS signals.

I donæt know if this is right or not but after 2 hours of testing yesterday I foud this out. Now I have to place my GPS permamently on the roof or on the dashboard.

Makes sense. Any type of "seperation" between the receiver and the sky will affect it. Some worse then others. If by chance the film has some metallic compound in it, that will make the interference worse.

Yes, that what I concludet too. It is a little strange that window tint can do so much to gps signals but I have to accept that and try to move my gps reeciver another location.
