Alturion Professional Advanced GPS 6 - The New D3 ? Is There A SDK ?

The question is,

Is there an SDK for the PC version, if so whos going to have a go ?

If this screen shot is the PC version ( which I cant work out from the reviews I have seen ) then we are in for one big ride... god I hope so... sick of Destinator and their naff support.... CDRSkull - you got to make Freedrive compatible if it is SDKable....

Sorry - probably get a post now saying... no its not... either way I am getting a copy to test right now... may take a little while though....

I'll have to install it on my laptop and give it a try. Iirc the SDK was in a PPC folder when I installed it though...

Definitely not touch screen friendly as it is...

No that is the PPC version. If your device has landscape view....

The PC version is very complicated to use and actually plan a route etc. I'm not sure what the screen looks like whilst moving but the screenshots in part two of the review are of the PC version...

ActiveSync is the software for installing it on a PPC.

You DONT want to be using this to install D3 as a PC app.

you can grab activesync from the microsoft site.. I'm unsure if you just need it installed or if you need a pda attached to it also.

I know I'm going to get moaned at here ... but I've been looking at Alturon properly for the first time.

The PC side does basically what the PPC version does... what it does need is a decent interface and an SDK. I mean it does TMC, Day Night, 2D, 3D, 2D and 3D, Updates over the web for the maps etc, a really good POI set... just the same as the PPC.

I've emailed em to see what they will say ( I guess the answer will be no ) how ever the good side of this is that the app uses activex to work on both PPC and PC platforms which leads me to thing that key functions will comonaly controlable.... I mean they are not going to re-invent the wheel are they ?

So as long as you have direct x on you platform it will work.

Attached is a copy of the PPC SDK... for those of you that way out have a look so what u think...

And, if I have to say it cause you couldn't get it from the smiley, I am just joking. We needed something between us and the Russians all those years.

Wish they had US maps. Seems like an interesting piece of SW.
