GPS Decoder website (to create apps)

I came across this site and thought id share it for all interested.. The site lays out all the data comeing fromt serial-GPS stream, and shows you how to decode it and make use of it.

just thought it might come in handy for some. Also might be nise to utilize it in a head unit design by integrating the direct gps info (using virtual com splitter) , into head unit for sometype of display info. Not everyone wants to see the gps map on the 3hr long I95 drive, but maybe direction,speed, est time to exit or something...

Or you can use monkeytools and get the data from there...

Even the daily logs in one of the mapmonkey plugin give you that info.

Seems the guy in the above link does everything with the GPRMC sentence... Speed in kilometer per hour ( or mph) is directly available in the GPVTG sentence.
