GPS Maps

and i am working on installing a carputer in my car

I have seen lots of different naviagation systems installs. Currently all of the navigation software sold is for either the US, Canada or Europe. Is there anything avilable with MAPS for the Oman? Lexus, Audi, and Merc owners in Oman with GPS naviagion systems have a dvd with the maps.

Any idea on what can be done? If i buy a GPS mouse, what software can i use just to map my routes? anything available for free? anyway to add maps to it?

NavTeq, the map data provider for a lot of our favorite software navigation programs, does have navigable maps of Oman. It is just a matter of time till some software developer decides to integrate Middle Eastern countries into their offering.

Check World Map Database for current availability of products for your country.

Thanks, i am knew to this, i went ot this website http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/t...?TOPIC_ID=6499 there are two maps for oman, one is from garmin with roads and streets. how can i use it on my carputer. say for example i am using centrafuse or road runner. what would i have to install? map monkey?
