Yes indeed it seems that they advertise to the PPC crowd only. I've always wondered why that was the case. As far as I'm concerned there is really no alternative to iGuidance on a PC platform. Nothing comes even close to what iGuidance can do for me. Yet, there is not a screenshot of the PC version on http://www.inavcorp.com/ Actually the whole website should be redesigned, because it does disservice to their great product.

The iGuidance DVD (or 3 CD's) includes the PPC and also the PC version of the program. You get two for the price of one! You may install it and use it on your laptop or carputer, and also you may have a second copy installed on your PDA. I keep it (as a back up) installed on my PDA Phone and have it with me at all times ;-)

I am about to throw out 100 bucks for either iGuidance or CoPilot 8 (trade in SA 2004). Right now, neither one of them support TMC. Am I right? If no TMC support, I will give that 100 buck for a OBD2 reader. In the mean time, I am okay with Routis and MS ST2005.

i am planning to buy copilot 8 but i just have a question. with this program, is there real-time tracking? for example, when you're driving on the road, does the map move with your vehicle as well or how does it work?

What do you mean by "real-time tracking"? All navigation software moves the map with your vehicle.

How many POIs?
"Over 21,000 additional POI destinations (ex. over 9700+ new restaurants) with subcategories (listed by alphabetical order, distance, or city)"
They didn't have that many there. Definately not even close to Lexus.

I use Copilot every day, 1000 mi a week. I have not used IG but I have read that your position stays in the center of the screen while the map move around you. I like the way CP moves your position on the map and pans the map when needed. I use the trail feature to help me judge my speed(distance between trail points) in relation to upcoming curves in the road. This allows me to drive as fast as possible on unfamiliar roads.(probably a bad idea, but time is money)
