Holux GM-210 and Iguidance 2.x

I absolutely love this combination. The receiver was getting lock on 8 or 9 birds while sitting on my dash. The Iguidance software is a breeze to use and it works very well in conjunction with Frodoplayer. I couldnt be happier with my setup. I cant wait to try it with some heavy storms in the area to see what kind of reception I get. I may have to make a trip to the Nebraska panhandle tomorrow.

this is the setup i use as well, the holux is a very nice gps receiver, although it's the first one i used, when coming back from hibernation with iguidance 2.1 open already it takes around 10 seconds to relock on 9 sats. it cost me around 40 bucks shipped on ebay for the receiver.

It's water proof and magnetic as well.

What was the eBay seller? ALso, the ones I see on eBay seems to say they are USB *but* they also say it has an RS 232 connector. DOes this mean the GPS uses an adapter? How is it powered?

Yes, there are actually more than one model of the 210.

1. You can get the USB only (used to be a bit cheaper) ( http://tinyurl.com/9jl47 )

2. Or you can get the one with a female PS2 connector which can be used with variety of adaptors (USB, serial). ( http://tinyurl.com/9cbdf )

Thanks Marvin. I might grab one from eBay, if the replacement Rikaline 6010 does not solve my issues.
