rikaline 6010 mode changes?

ok for some reason after a period of time.. my 6010 will change modes from SIRF back to the default NMEA 4800... is there a reason why it does this? also, there are times where it wont even lock onto anything. but if i restart the computer or something, it will lockon and work normally. is there a way to fix these problems?

When the internal battery of a GPS receiver gets discharged (after a period of no use) the receiver will reset to factory default settings when you start using it again.
