anyone see any issue w/ using a BU-303 with 4-port USB hub?

i dont want to fork out the 30.00 for a USB extension cable, so does anyone know of any issue with using a 4 port hub as an "extension"...i dont plan on using more than 2 in the hub anyway.

I'm using mine this way.

I'm getting resume from standby prompts though. Still works; just annoying.

I've got mine on a 4 port hub with a bluetooth dongle and jump drive plugged in with it.

ive got the same setup..

the only issue u may have is the lower port numbers are sometimes reserved for the actual usb ports so when u plug the gps into the hub it may give u a port number above 9 which alot of programs for some reason wont let u select..

how much for an extension cable? what are they gold plated braided or something?

all my local stores (office depot, staples, etc) that even carry any usb extension cables want upwards $30.00 for a 6 ft one....
