if this helps the time is correct under local time

In Garmin USB mode GpsGate generates the following NMEA sentences: RMC, GGA, GLL, GSA and VTG. This will give you longitude, latitude, altitude, quality (PDOP, HDOP, VDOP), UTC time, fix type 2d/3d, ground speed and heading. No satellite information - GSV - is generated.
