So which one is going to rule the world?

Google has more current satellite photos, for hat it's worth. Google Maps is far smoother and much faster.

This is Texas Motor Speedway in Satellite view on MSN Visual Earth. The photos are over a decade old, as the track has been there at least that long and they show a bunch of farm or ranch land.

Nice find. Looks like the MSN maps are using the images from the terraserver. The color urban maps are < 4 years old and have a lot more detail than the Google ones. I love how the MSN maps have the street names on the sat. images! That makes it so much easier to find your house. Microsoft still has a ways to go to pass Google's maps. This is great competition!

Go to http://maps.google.com/ and click on "Hybrid" in the upper right corner of the map, zoom in on a city, and enjoy (It's not perfect.. but does alright)
