I've been pondering the same thing kicker. Since they are both so new (with the new chipset) the answer probably isn't clear.
Hope those in the know will chime in.

Hey guys. I have the second one. At least will have it by next week. It's in the fedex system right now. As soon as i get it, i'll test it, and probably do a side-by-side comparison to the current Rikaline 6010. I'll let you know...

I hear this SIRF chipset alot...are they really that much better than let say the garmin GPS receiver?
I think my garmins is sensitive down to -165db this sirf is only down to -159db.
How much better are they? Reason why I asked cuse I have a project and want to know if its worth supporting the SIRF protocols.

The SRP2000 GPS receiver is 1000 times more sensitive than standard GPS receivers are. This allows the terminal to function in urban areas with tall buildings and inside many buildings, environments where most GPS devices fail.
Low Signal Strength receiver
-180dBW acquisition sensitivity
-185dBW tracking sensitivity

Watch out. There is a difference between dBW and dBm i have to google it, but i know there is a conversion tool somewhere. also this new gps with the conversion is more sensitive than yours. I remember reading something on this over a gpspassion, but can't seem to find it again. I'll try my beast.

Cool...let us know about the sensitivity and signal quality.
Theres seems to be alot of confusion as to which GPS is better.
