GPS problem
hey. i bought the GPS receiver BU-303 on ebay and i installed it into my laptop. i ran the GPS information where it tests if the GPS is working fine. and it shows that it does. but when i open iGuidance 2.1, it can't find it. and always keeps on asking to make sure that the GPS device is connected. what the heck is going on?

Make sure iguidence is reading the same port that your gps unit is really on.

not sure, check the iguidance documentation. I want to say a typical GPS port is 3 so in windows change the GPS port through device manager to 3 (unless you've got something else on that port)

What options do you have in iGuidance ?? Mine goes up to com 16...
The com port of the USB GPS is determined by the driver and not by which USB socket it is plugged into.

Start iGuidance up on it's own so you can get to the menu bar accross the top (unless it's visable when you embed it) and goto tools-GPS options and set it in there..

CommPort and NMEABaud

I'm not sure if I understand the question correctly (sorry if I'm not), but would the following solve the problem: on the menu bar click Tools > GPS Options > Auto Detect? (Make sure no other application uses your GPS receiver, only iGuidance.)
