It's been talked about around the forum. Unfortunately, it's one of the downfalls of iG.

Afterthoughts: I used the knowledge you all added here to make my app more aware of what iguidance is doing (if its mute, if its fullscreen, ect).

So it wasn't all a waste

One of the things that I wanted someone to make several months ago was a porgram that could get the speed that you're traveling and adjust the zoom accordingly. For example, if I'm traveling 15mph, iG would be zoomed to 200ft but if I was traveling at 75mph the iG would zoom to 1500ft for example. No one wanted to make it though. The only person who I thought would do it said no because he did not want that feature... (it's not like it would have been hard to disable).

Rather than having the auto-zoom dependent of travel speed I would prefer it to display the current road segment and a little bit of the next road segment.

I'm actually surprized iNav hasn't implemented auto-zoom yet. Even Microsoft Streets & Trips has it already!!! Come on iNav!!!

You know thats feasable, if someone becomes a wizard at reading IG memory (all we need is distance to next turn and current zoom level).

I wish I knew anything, anything at all about reading dynamic program memory belonging to another process. I don't even have an idea of how to execute a PEEK(addr) in windows protected mode.

Well I'm still using v2.0 so there's probably some newer stuff that iG can do. I plan on getting the newest version when I get back from Iraq (which is in less than two weeks) so hopefully I'll get some newer maps and POIs in the process.

PURDooM > Your task in life is to figure out how to read the iG memory. You must succeed at all cost.
