iGuidance 2.1 - color theme help??

Hi there,

Can someone help? I'm trying to do a ctheme.ini file for my iGuidance 2.1 and I can't seem to get the background colors to work right.

I'm trying to manipulate the White setting, MBC2, to look like Streets and Trips 2006 in day and night modes.

Here is my code:

MBC0=255,220,128 0,0,96
MBC1=192,192,192 64,64,64
MBC2=225,225,204 0,102,0

Can someone let me know why iGuidance isn't picking up my new color settings?

i dont think you can change the background color for the black and white display option only the other ones.
also look at the first post here, it mentions something about not being able to do this etc.

you cant change the background color at all in iG 2.1 AFAIK. iNav showed on there site that you should remove the map background color cause it could cause 2.1 to crash.

Hm, so would the upgrades in 2.1 version be worth not being able to hack everything like in 2.0? Not sure whether i should pick up a new 2.1 or a used 2.0

No, that MBC stuff never worked in 2.0. I'm not sure if it works in 2.1, but it sure works in the curent 2.1.3

Can you still change font size/colors/etc with 2.1.3?

Yes, you can (unless you have a new PocketPC PDA with Windows Mobile 5.0 because there still seem to be some issues with theme.ini).

MBC (Map Background Color) I don't think anyone figured out how to change in v.2.0. It is likely not enabled in that version.

Well the MBC setting WORKS in my 2.0. It's just that it only change the colors at the highest zoom out setting. I'm trying to get it to accept the changes at other zoom levels also....

Okay, so i can change these colors...nice. Now i see why NRGZ28 wanted 2.1.3 You were PMed, btw on that. I'll need to research this more when i finally hit iguidance manipulation phsase of the project
