MotoDude, may I suggest a capability of logging/playing back of NMEA files? This would help us with building a google earth cache as I suggested above.

Good idea, but if all you want to do is cache the data in your area, you can do this by creating a tour in GE.
If you have GE Plus, you can draw paths anywhere and fly along the paths. If you have GE free you can put a collection of placemarks into a folder and fly the tour from placemark to placemark. Put a bunch of placemarks into a folder and fly the whole folder. The order is top to bottom, as you ordered the placemarks in the folder.
It takes a lot of experimentation to get the results you would expect. At first you will experience "bunny-hopping" from placemak to placemark. This can be fixed by going to Tools -- Options -- Control -- Advanced. Set the Driving Directions Tour Options for a shallower camera tilt angle and longer range, and change the speed. Then set up a new tour and see if it's how you like it. It all takes a while to get the hang of.
Is this kind of what your after? It does get the data in your cache. You may also want to set your cache size to the maximum of 2GB. I've found that 2GB covers a pretty good sized area, but it does depend on the quality of the images in your area.

I used nmeaGE last night in a craaazzzzyyyy snowstorm we had up here in Canada... It was pretty good but the map detail in my area hasn't been updated in years, and it's not the high res pics.. Cool program! wish I had high def pics of my area in GE!! lol. thanks! (Gonna stick with streets and trips, but this was really neat)

That one never occurred to me, using the placemarks. I just ran a quick experiment with it had a little trouble with setting them at the right altitudes and all. It seems that the placemark will fix the view you have set, all variables, as you click OK to accept it. I didn't see any way to adjust the fly-to "hop" altitude. If it weren't for that This would be about right for loading up the cache.

Hey Guys,
I've been using nmeage for a couple of days now...
At first I was totally blown away! Now that've been using it for a couple of days Im looking at ways to improve on it.
First, I'm gonna try to change the icon, should be pretty ez... I guess,,, Ill try to put my Denali on it
Second, I wish there was a way to enter addresses automatically and it set itself to be the departing point, right now I dont' think there is a way to make it so that your .kml file is the departure and the address that you input be the arriving destination??
I wish it was more integrated into GE, kinda like World Wind's GPSTracker, that is embedded; I guess that's up to GE...
I have EVDO in NYC so I dont really have any issues getting good images cached into GE, this is a great inplementation!
For now Great JOB MOTODUDE, this is awesome!

The hotkey thing tho.. is there a way for nmeaGE to accept windows messages or for it to accept keystrokes without being " on top" ?
I use a program (irassistant) which takes my IR remote signals and sends keystrokes to your program without bringing it to top but nmeaGE doesn't seem to respond to them unless it is on foreground.

wants me to install .NET 1.1.4322
I have .NET 2.0 installed

I suggest that you not use M$ .net 2.0. Just stick with 1.1. I had the same problem with other programs before.
