Best GPS software for Australia?

I am looking for some GPS software for my carputer. I have done some searching and so far I have found these:

CoPilot Live

Destinator

TeleType WorldNavigator

Is there anyone running these or any others that I am not aware of?

Please share your experience with them - the good/the bad, etc.

Also, if there happens to be someone in Melbourne - north/eastern suburbs who has a working setup and wants to show it of, I would like to see

Other options are

Ozi explorer - this does not do turn by turn.

Mapsource - have a feeling this is awefully similar to Copliot.

IMHO the best option at the moment is Destinator when used with MapMonkey or Freedrive.

I am using Dest 3 with MM. It works reasonably well.

Occasionaly it gets lost and tells me to turn right, when there is no right turn there! etc etc,

I go to a small country town in NSW regularly and it gets a bit lost enroute, telling me to turn into a paddock!!

jaytyn, I see you are local. How well does it work around the suburbs of Melbourne? Was it a hassle to set it up and get it working?

Is D3 still available to use under MapMonkey ? the last i heard the only SDK you could get was for Destinator PN. then you couldn't buy D3 anyway as they have brought out the newer version. I am interested in getting MapMonkey working with D3 as well for use in Australia. Every thread I read seems well out of date.

I'm just about to get myself into Carputing but I'm trying to plan and was wondering if MapMonkey + Destinator SDK + a Maps Upgrade CD such as this will be all I need or if I really need to spend the AU$500 or so to get the maps?

Where can i get the Destinator SDK from? Is it sold as a package or is the SDK something you add on to the personal edition of destinator?
