Well if anyone is looking for one I have the SBR-LS module attached to a RS-232 daughterboard with gyro that I have no use for and will sell it at a steal compared to what I paid.
Send me an email if interested dan_m AT dwoloz DOT com

@ Sreeja: DR is a method, by using gyro(s) to determine vehicle movement, sideways, forward, back, up or down (aircraft for example) - it is based on (a) piezo-electric crystal(s), where movement will generate an electric current, amplified by electronics, and fed into any electronic system that can make use of these signals.
So, at rest, the signal will be 0Volts, and going in 1 direction will generate a positive offset (from 0V), and moving in the opposite direction will generate a negative offset referenced to 0V.
Take a 2 axis gyro - it can determine forward/backwards, and left/right movement, on two independant axis....so, when the GPS signal is not available due to travelling between high buildings, in a tunnel, or something, the gyro provide the signal to the GPS circuitry, giving it a fair idea which direction you are travelling.
And, by measuring car speedo signal, and reverse signal, it can quite accurately deduce a useable signal for your GPS without the satellites....
I hope this makes it a little more clear?
@ Thwack: Ijust received both your PM's, and replied!
Thanx,
MrBean.

I'm going to build my DR-module on LEA-4R ublox-antaris chipset. So, im searching for more information on spaceskater's scheme like this:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/772694-post94.html
What module used there?
Now im, using TYCO DR A1031, but unfortunately seems they are going to close production of classical DR with REV-ODO sygnals.
Also, in my work I need direct propientary data in nmea log about odo-gyro. Is this possible in ublox? Reading pdf's shows only strange binary output without navi-software to work with it. There are some photos in my Photos. Works very well both on old mechanical spedometer (astraF93) and on modern can-bus vehicle (astrah07)

Well I used the SBR-LS on that setup. I has worked quite well for me since I built it. The only problem I have had is that some times the device looses the position when I turn power off, even though I have a backup battery on it.
Other than that it's been good!
To my knowledge Ublox uses proprietary binary data communication for advanced info. but they do give the data on using it.
I thing NMEA doesn't even support this kind on info in the stream.
LEA-4R sounds good! And also has native USB support!

O, SBR-LS is old great thing. Unfortunately, this product is discontinued, especially after ublox's shift to LEA type. So, my plan is to make completely new device, with optrons on ODO and REV, epson gyro, max3232 to make carputer 12v rs232 (or usb), thermosensor and calibrating software, wich must be able to recalculate speed impulses into antaris-prepared scale.
ps. tyco had odo-gyro-calibrating feature inside their chipset, wich works extremely well now in my car.
