Yea, really. Right after Christmas my fiance and I drove up to North Carolina to go skiing and we pretty much got lost in the mountains almost even lost GPS signal because of trees (even with external antenna) so anything that will increase the signal is very welcome.

I remember several years ago when selective availability was still turned on and you could watch your position jump all around.

Go up high enough and they do. : )

Course, it was my first time seeing snow, let alone skiing, so I wasn't going to complain.
