Software (have maps already)

Hi,

I have access to last years OS maps for ireland, so no worries, just wondering what software will show speed and heading prominently, ie. AutoRoute 2006 style, but is free

I remember seeing some freeware a couple of years back which would allow you to plot GPS on bitmaps (say scans of O/S maps) but I can't find it now.
