Hi Guys....

I desperately need help with bub 303 and mapsource( garmin).
I have bub- 303 as my receiver connected to laptop(windows 98 SE with 64 Ram).
I have try to connect both item but it doesn't work. I have done everything according to the manual but it still have the same result.
I can see all the signal that have been received with my bub 303 through gps info(program), I assume the gps receiver is working since I can see the signal through gps info but I can't connect with mapsource.When I want to connect with mapsource its say " you need to set interface option on your gps to garmin or host mode" No device were found please make sure your device is connected to the computer and turned on then try again

is there anything else that I can do or I just stuck with the wrong equipment

officially mapsource ONLY support garmin product. it is not a free product per se.
so when you set inferface option, it's actually check if the device connect is a garmin device.
there is ways around it of coz. search for gpsproxy

I have try to install the gpsproxy but I can not run it . It say A required DLL file MSCOREE DLL was not found

Sorry to bother you is there anything that I can do?

Try updating to the latest Microsoft .NET package (windows update).

I am having difficulties everytime when I want to try my gps . I don't know May be its me anyway, I start from buying wrong equipment etc.....

Ok let me tell about my tough luck story

It begin from

buying wrong equipment.

I have mapsource as software but I don't know that mapsource only compatible with garmin receiver only.

(PTK)one person came to me says that I can get around with gpsproxy then I install gps proxy(horayyy ))) ) . All when ok until when I want to run it it doesn't show anything it say missing some of windows file. This time I can manage to fixed it.(Thanks to Rawson DR)


The next problem come out again . this time I can run the gpsy proxy but I can not go to tool and setting.It say" QueryDosDevice error # 87 "

I can click detailed and it say:

I use the newest version of gps proxy

I am begging for all of you that have same kind of condition and be able to fixed it to tell me how to fixed this problem or someone one who know how to fixed tell me please how to fixed it Pleaseeeee
