Anyone else have this issue with the BU-353

I just got mine to replace my pharos gps that died on me. I have it plugged in and working but it is SO delayed that its almost useless. My arrow in iguidance travels as much as 1/5 of a MILE behind me. When i come to a stop it takes about 15-20 seconds to come down to 0mph. I thought this would be a better unit that the pharos but this things just about useless to me as it is. Can anyone help me fix this? Do i need to enable WAAS or something?

How about returning for vchange under waranty? Mine works precisely.

that might be what i have to do but i'd like to avoid having to take it out n ship it back again if possible.

Just used sirfdemo to test if the unit had WAAS enabled and of course it didnt. That should fix the issue!

Hmm, thats wierd. I have a Bu-353 also with iguidance and it works perfect. My delorme had issues

I'm gonna run it over the weekend and if it doesnt fix itself the things goin back.

Seems like you dorked it up yourself. I saw this post in a diffrent thread. Dunno what to tell you on that one.

no the issue was present right out of the box. I switched it to sirf mode per instructions on globalsats site to test WAAS
