earthmate with nroute need help

I am trying to run nroute by garmin with a delorme earthmate gps
I have tried gpsproxypc but I cannot get it to work
can any one give me some guidance with this
any help will be useful

Garmin hardware only works with Garmin software and vice-versa.
There is an application to allow a Garmin GPS with other software. I don't know if there's anything tghat will convert other hardware tow ork with Garmin software, though.

GPSProxy PC alone will not allow nRoute to work. You need a virtual serial port pairs. You can try the free com0com or commercially available one like the Eltima Virtual Serial Driver. What these software does is to create a pair of virtual COM ports. For instance, it setup COM 8 and 9 as a virtual pair. The input for one is the output of the other port. You configure COM 8 as the application port in GPSProxy PC and configure nRoute to use COM 9.
