iguidance install problems...
when i install i guidance, after it gets to the third disc, and there are only 2 progress bars (there are usually 3) it says "error copying file c:\...names.something" and then repeats this error for like 10 files...
is there a way to manually copy a fully installed iguidance from my desktop to my carputer?

It installs to a folder on C:\ by default.
I'm not in the truck, so I can't look it up.

i did the normal install, and then when the map generator thing came up i just closed it and copied that maps manually from my desktop (that i had already generated without problems) to c:\inav or whatever on my carputer and then it worked

Same issue, same fix
I had the exact same problem installing iGuidance onto the carputer. And I fixed it in the same manner, by copying the map directory over from the desktop.
I am curious if anyone knows what causes it not to load in the first place. If I ever sweep my desktop HD clean I don't want to lose the ability to load this program.

i had problems installing too. I got it done ONCE when every state and i just saved that to my C: so i never have to use the disks again for map loading.

IGuidance Problem
Hey guys,
I had the same problem too, I contacted iGuidance, and they suggested me to copy CD1, CD2, CD3 to C:\ directory.
Later on just install the iguidance installer, when it asks you to load the map hit the cross button, then click on file and exit.
Remove the disk from the drive and lick on the maploader shortcut created either on the desktop or in the directory you have choosen to install.
when you run maploader like this basically it loads from computer HDD, once maploading is done you can delete CD1, CD2 and CD3.
If you still see some error then may be it is because of scratches on the HDD. I went to a movie rental shop and ask him to polish DVD surface and when i tried this it worked. Luckly he didn;t charge me anything.
I have upgraded maps for v2.1.2 with v2.1.3.
regards
Anant

Ok looked at the cd today and there is one long
scratch on the outer part of the CD...damn. I have
copied the files to my hard drive, but cannot get 1 of
the files no matter how hard I try. I am missing mapdata21.raz
If someone could throw the file on a ftp, or maybe
email my gmail account, though I forget gmails limit
per file 10 mb maybe, it is 266mb.
Thanks for any help you guys can give. I am DESPERATE

I am having a large issue as well. My map loading keeps failing at step 3, where it looks for "linkinfo.raz". Did anyone else have this problem? I can't get it to install/copy or anything no matter what I do. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
