New GPS module is sensitive enough to be used indoors

Very interesting new product for our application. Hopefully this will be out in a couple months when I do a new build.

Based on the specifications revealed in the article: "Capable of detecting signals as weak as -159 dBM", and "It can track up to 20 GPS satellites simultaneously" it appears the module will be based on the not-so-new-anymore SiRFstarIII chipset.

Yep, SiRF-III works well inside the house. It doesn't work so well inside a metal car though.

Does anyone know of a USB SiRF-III reciever that has an antenna connector? I have a BT one, but it turns itself off all the time and you have to press the power button to get it on again (even when charging from USB). I found a CF one with connector that I will probably use, but USB would be better.

I'd also love to see a SiRF-III with DR.
