copilot 5 australian maps

Hi all,
I have copilot live 5 (australian maps) but want to get my hands on some european maps, which I think is at version 6 in europe if I'm not mistaken. Is this european map upgrade commonly available on the web or do I have to buy it? Is it also compatible with my version 5 copilot software and is it easy to install?

Please do not discuss or ask for warez on this forum. If you want the maps, you will more than likely you will have to buy the upgrade / update.

As far as I understand it, I wasn't requesting any warez. I need to get the european maps and I can't get them here in Australia. I was simply asking if anyone had version 6 with European maps and whether I could install them in conjunction with my existing software.

If anyone has any answers to these questions, I'm still looking for them.

sorry for the misunderstanding. We just see a lot of "where can I get these maps", which usually means can someone tell me where to download them.

As for installing the maps, If it is the same as Destinator, you should be able to install the maps into your software and just switch between them.

no probs for the misunderstanding. I'll check your link.
In the meantime, I got some great info on the update for my copilot software.
The point I couldn't understand with V6.0 was that every site I visited told me that V6.0 only contained UK and Ireland maps. What I understand now is that you need to purchase an unlock key on top of this to access other european maps, such as Italy and France.

That link that I posted had the EU maps for V5. Maybe you could ask them what the difference is.

As far as I know, the difference between V5.0 and V6.0 is that 5.0 has static maps which reload as you pass through that particular region (or map) and V6.0 has dynamic maps which refresh and update 'on the fly'. This means you have a constantly scrolling map which doesn't drop out and then reload.
A bit of a sketchy explanation, but this is what I understand to be the difference.
I'm going out to buy V6.0 today, so I'll let you know the difference. Also, I guess they've updated the maps this version to include new road construction, landmarks etc.
