via reshacker to match the mc2.0 skin. Pain in the *** cause this time there are so many more bmps than before. i'm still not completely done but at least i got the menus. Keyboard and other smaller buttons are next.

dammit i just finished my last bmp and it corrupted!!! But hell MGD yours looks better than mine anyway. Can i get the hookup

Btw for those of you who really want a QWERTY keyboard you can do it with the reshacker by changing a couple of the values. Its sure to be a pain in the *** to do tho

GOod job. If you use Reshacker, make sure to back up the EXE with every single change. There is a 1 in 5 chance that it gets corrupted in my experience. And I have done a TON of reshacking!

when it corrupts, you can recover from it. Just keep resaving the file till it works, dont try to reopen the .exe as it may/may not be jacked. also, when you save wait a few sec after ig closes before you overwrite it.
heres another screenshot to go with the pack.

im pretty much done with all the images, super pain in the ***. I wish it could just reimport all the files it exports, esp since it can save a list of the bitmaps and what tree branch number it belongs to. Would make **** a whole lot easier.

few questions for those also doing the reshack stuff,

MGD, how did you get rid of the text on the Menu button? I replaced the button but the text still shows up.

Also, one thing i noticed while doing this, since im using a very dark background, there are places where the text color is also black making it very hard to see, anyone know how to change the text color in dialogs?

You know what we need to figure out how to do?

Switch the .exe file according to the skin. So if your using LSX Void, you would use LQ exe if you change the skin to MC2.0 then use Sonic's .exe.

We need to figure out a way to automatically change the .exe. When the exe is not in use it would have the "name_of_skin.exe" When you select that skin the current exe would be changed to "Current_skin_name.exe" and and the new skin's exe would be changed to iGuidance.exe. I don't know how hard this is to do but it would be awesome.

thats a good idea, you can have day and night IG3 mods too.
shouldnt be too hard for someone to whipup something like this, since its really just a bunch of renameing files.
Maybe use the ONSKINSTART command in RR.
I dont know if i want to redo the whole process for daytime though, wish there was a better resourcehacker that would automate updateing the modifications, on file 148 now, lol.
