With the NoWarning switch.

In RR Config, under GPS, enter the following exactly as it appears here

c:\program Files\Inav\Iguidance\iGuidanceUMPC.exe|nowarning

Done. Just so you know that is a "pipe" before no warning.

Michael

P.S. Works with other versions of IG as well.

There are numerous (even dedicated) threads dealing with the removal of warning dialog. Not bein an idiot, just letting you know it has been discussed, addressed, and that there are several solutions! Good luck.

I got no confirmation Email...but it turned up by fedex yesterday. It doesn't work properly with Vista though. You have to set it not only to XP compatibility mode but also to foced 640x480 screen resolution wih all the destop features turned off.

So, with IG not working, Nortel VPN s/w not working and TiVo Desktop not working I think I'm going to remove Vista for now & go back to XP.

Have you tried iG 2.1.3 on Vista? Was it working?

O.K.

I played with it a little last night.

Like I said before, the menu is vastly improved. I have only played with it on the laptop so far, so it will have to wait till I can play with it on the Lilli and the TS.

Here is a short video from last night.
http://www.speedoptions.com/mike/ig1.avi

You probably notice what I noticed. Look at the left of the screen. The names are jumping all over the place. Makes it difficult to read something, or find a side street, or a street over from where you are driving. of course, this problem is amplified at highway speed.

I had a very similar problem with V2.1 when I added CTheme with a high font number. I remember that Marvin thought that V3 might have the ability to use a theme.ini file. So, I got out my old theme file, and went to put it in the IG folder, and look what I found,

Yeap, it ALREADY has a THEME.INI file. Hmmm, is that all the UMPC version is, aside from the change in the hardcoded Menu stuff (I will take ResHack to it when I get a chance and see if I can find the new/differences, but that is later). I opened up the theme.ini and lo and behold, the first setting is for Font size. They have it set at 18 across the board. So I set off and changed it to 12, and this is what it looked like

http://www.speedoptions.com/mike/ig1.avi

Better, but not perfect, and now it is harder to see.

I wonder if there is some way to "pin" the street names where they are. If Ic an't see it, and I need to, I can/will just pan the screen, but now, the jumping is just annoying.

On a side note, I think that IGMon can be used with V3 for screen switching and turn announcements. The Routing screen is very similar to before. Perhaps I need to speak with BB.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Michael

I suspect your THEME.INI is there from your old iG 2.x instalation. Uninstalling iG will not remove all files and folders. And installation of a new version in my experience doesn't install THEME.INI ;-)

I'll look at the video files when I get home. I'm "mobile" now (pc via GPRS).

yeah I ran a check through GSpot
Results:
Bad Chunk in Frame Data-found bad length value

CODEC is: S-Mpeg 4 version 2, MP42, but I believe the file being damaged is what is preventing it from playing for us.

Sorry, it works in winamp on my laptop.

If someone has access to a better "video maker" that is freeware or trial period, I will do it again.

Try and download it, and play it in winamp.

As for the theme, I never thought about that.

Let me delete the theme file and see what happens. But, I can confirm that theme.ini does work on this version.

So, I just got rid of the theme file, and while it does look different, it still moves the names around quite a bit. I would post a video, but no one can see it anyway

INI file is not automatically installed on v 3.
INI file works with v3 if manually created/added.
