Adhesives?

I'm relocating my "plasti-dipped" mouse to underneath the plastic "wiper" cowl. I really just want to stick it directly to the cowl's underside. Given that some adhesives would be pretty damn permanent, does anything sound bad? Bad for either reception or negatively effecting the "Plasti-Dip"? Epoxy?

Recievers generally work best in clear skies. Since you want it to be permanent, why not epoxy?

If I could, i'd do adhesive tapes... but I tried 3M double-side when my mouse was under my parcel shelf... Held good in the winter, but as soon as the heat came, the 3M tape turned loose and gummy.

Epoxy is my adhesive of choice.. While I doubt expoxy would harm radio... I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on epoxy coupled with Plasti-dip. I've decided to just test it.

Velcro can come off....tape can melt. epoxy is very permentent.

Why not tap a screw or two.

This way it is removeable for maintainence or upgrade but wont go anywhere in any weather.

Yes, there is actually a good velcro like thing at radioshack for a couple bucks. It's a plastic bubble velcro. Really strong. In the pre-carputer days, I used it to stick a portable dvd player to my dash. Withstood bumps and everything. Worked in the hot summers and snowy winters. It was in the inside, but if you are mounting it to the underside of your engine area, then the rain and snow wont be direct so same effect.

Looks like this:

It doesnt have to be epoxy, double sided tape will do as long as you get the "car/outdoor" grade. The ones similiar to sticking badges, side bumbers and other light/metal items...they last forever.

Epoxy it if the surface is irregular and know you never want it off ever again.
