Yeah, it only works with the supplied USB GPS dongle. I think this has been done to simplify the package for the average user and drive the costs right down. Can't argue with this approach when they can sell the whole package at this price point!

So do you think it's going to significantly slow down my Car PC (which is an AMD Sepron 3000+) since it is a software GPS versus a hardware GPS? Will I notice any difference?

I have never used it myself, buy my guess would be that you would not notice any slowdown at all.

No, you should not notice any impact on your PCs performance. When tracking the software should use only a few % of the CPU. When initially acquiring satellites the software uses as much free CPU as is available but at a low priority so other applications will run with no impact. It runs fine on a 1GHZ machine so your 3000+ is way over the requirements.
