not sure if this is the right place for this post but im posting here anyways, sorry

from the top. brandnew XP pro sp2 install on a via epia 800 board 1GB ram and 300GB HDD. Bu-303 GPS and lilliput 7" touchscreen. as well as an opue 120W psu


ok here goes.
installed fresh
installed all hardware(gps, touchscreen, etc)
installed RoadRunner
installed winamp
Installed Mappoint 2006

Roadrunner seems to be working fine, reads all my music apps video etc.
when launching GPS from roadrunner scren goes black and when opens up is location set to middle of atlantic ocean. figuring it was mappoint tried it by itself and works fine. all features is it. did a bit of reading on the forums and tried copying the mappointcontrol.ocx to my roadrunner directory and runngin regsrv32 c:\_roadrunner_\mappointcontrol.ocx(successful msg)
clicked gps button did not work
next deleted mappoint ptm file and launched RR did not work, what i did notice was a message that came up hidden in the corner.
"corrupted file or unsupported module type"
did a bit of searching around for that error and all i could find was this thread

directories are as such

c:\_ROADRUNNER_\ - Roadrunner installation directory
c:\_MAPPOINT_\ - Mappoint installation Directory

if i cannot install this can someone point me in a better direction for GPS application

i wa slooking as freedrive and mapmonkey but from what i can gather, all there are are UK maps
i live in US - Florida
