safe to buy no-name gps receiver
i saw some off brand gps receivers on ebay that had the sirf III chipset. is it safe to buy these, or are there more things than just the chipset that affect signal reception quality?

is there really that much of a difference in price? i mean you can get a microsoft (pharos) gps for $50 bucks or less. Why not buy somethin with a warranty.
