Embedding Iguidance 3 in Frodo

Hey, i got IG3 and love it.. Want it to replace Destinator on my carpc. The only problem is i want volume up/down, pause, next, etc so i can control my music while using IG3 embeded into Frodo.

this is what it looks like now, i want to replace these buttons

with these type buttons

with this as the end result

a little confused, not sure if im supposed to use IGmon, Skinbedder, etc.. any help would be greatly appreciated..

If you want to skin the "windows looking" GPS part of FP you need to update to version 1.10.

Ohh and BTW you are geting the same three buttons than in ver 1.09 (meaning that there is no way to add vol+, vol- or any other media button)

so are you saying that it's impossible to get rid of previous, pause and next in Frodo and replace them with full media controls so i can control my music while using embeded IG3?

OK if you update your version (which is 1.09) with 1.10 you will be able to skin those same three buttons (in 1.10 in the main folder you will see a folder call embedder, you will need to edit those jpgs to whatever you want (having in mind that if you using a diferent resolution than 800x480 you will need to resize them)

I will play around a little more with 1.10. so are you saying i can skin those 3 buttons to the same function as they are now, but i can't add more buttons or change the function them?

so i can make it look better but not make it functionally better? Is that a limitation of Frodo or the skin im using?

what program do you reccomend for skinning frodo? I am ok with Photoshop, should be able to resize if necessary..

Photoshop to do the design and to change the buttons around (and get the .inis with all the values) search for a pice of soft call "frodo skinner"

maybe i need to try something other than FP.. i like the 3rd picture that i posted, that is the type of functionality i would like to have in the car.. thanks again for your help, it at least gives me some options.

Im sure someones done it before. Can someone share their embeded apps and such. I like the way Frodo 1.10 handled the database, but I couldn't get IG to show up right. Is Frodo 2 in the works, or is this Frodoplayer going the route of Nazi Germany?
