iGuidance cant find BU-353?

Well now with CF 1.7 can finally run iGuidance 2.1 again...hooked up my gps reciever to one of the usb ports on the mobo(m10000) and tried scanning for it, manually entering the com port, installed the gps drivers...has this happened before to anyone? Could it be the usb drivers for the mobo?

is it pluged into a hub? mine would NOT run off of a hub.

looks like you arent.

go into device manager, and under lpt and com ports, see if the usb serial bridge is there, and note the com port number, try manually clicking on that com port number in iguidance. also make sure your baud rates are correctly set. not sure the exact setup for mine as i just ripped mine out of the car for installation into my newer vechicle that should come in time.

Unless the MB or the GPS is now broken, it is not a hardware issue. 2.0 and 1.0 are backwards compatible, that should not be the problem.

Why did you install different drivers (the ones you found) if it was working before. Are you trying to setup IG while IN CF?

You must set up IG outside of CF. Start IG, set it up, then close it. When you close it, it AUTOMATICALLY saves the settings. Then try opening it in CF.

You need the Prolific Serial-to-USB adapter driver. If that's not what's installed, it's not the right driver.
