Two GPS questions

Hi all,

I've been sort of wondering 2 things regarding GPS.

- Apparently, the new Streets & Trips 2006 includes the new Pharos iGPS-500, which does SiRF III, so 20 satellites, vs. the old 12. Has anybody compared the two GPS types, and does it really make a noticeable difference?

- Is there any way to increase the update frequency above 1Hz (1/second), or is this a mandated hard limit?

I've not personally compared the two but lot's of people have reported a difference in using SiRF III.

You can't change the update frequency. I think there are receivers that have a faster update frequency but that may not work with some software.
