Vbox Software

Was just watching a UK show called Fifth gear where the presenter was using a device called a Vbox.

Uses GPS tracking to work out the gforces and acceleration from your car on the fly. What I am wondering is if anybody has any similar kind of software that I could use in conjunction with my GPS reciever in my own car that will work out similar figures? I know the Vbox is probably way more advances but I figure a GPS antenna would be able to work out lots more features than just how fast your going. If the software could work out how fasdt your going over a certain distance in conjunction with your GPS software could possibly tell other things as well.

The difference between the VBox GPS receiver and most commercial GPS receivers is update rate. The VBox uses a receiver which updates 10 times per second, most off-the-shelf units update once a second. The 10Hz update rate gives it many more samples to work with for more accurate acceleration information.
