Iguidance COM Port issues!

OK well, I just instaleld Xport3. Somehow it convert my gps signal from Sirf to NMEA (i think). But anyway i am using xport to split up the com port for iG, Purdoom Gps Tracker App and just testing Where Is My GPS. Eversince i put xport on every OTHER time i start the pc and go to IG it reverts the com port to com 1. So it seems like every other time i start the pc i need to set the com. The com for the gps is on 3 the spit to com 12, 13, and 14. Any clues?

It seems like if I dont hold my mouth open just right... my gps wont work and I have to go in manually and set the com to 14.

Can we set a switch to force com14 maybe in a shortcut ??

ok dumb question... I do I force it to a lower com port?

I know I can goto the application and specify a port there
I also know I can goto the device manager and set a com port there as well...

But which? both? confused

well what availalbe com ports do u have in Device Manager? If their is an avail com port lower than 10? If no download xport 3 and then select the comport ur using now (com 14) then use baud rate 38400 then select the virtual ports below. Hopefull a port lower that 10 will show up. THen u should be good to go

well.. I have a crap loat of ports already used... must be the usb hubs??

I went to the device mgr, found my gps, and went to the advanced settings and changed the com port to 10.

I went to iGuidence3, and told it to use com 10.. it worked.

Well when I get in the truck this morning, the dang thing has reset!!

It's like my computer is forgetting setting to MANY things I fix, including login.

SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!
