iGuidance 3 Zoom complaint

maybe someone could find a fix?

Older versions of iG provided a legend for the distance. Now, rather than telling me that the approx 1/2" bar is equal to 100ft or 500ft, 1mi, 2mi, etc, it just displays a Zoom Level X. I want my legend back rather than Zoom 4, Zoom 5, etc...

Anyone else noticed this?

Mine, using UMPC, still says the distance.

Screen shot?

It's got to be a setting. Or, are you in 3d mode perhaps?

Michael

Edit:Looks like you are in 3d mode. Try it in 2D.

2d changes it back to what it was in 2.1. Pretty dumb to change it in 3d mode. but i'm sure you could fix it with hex editing

It makes more sense for 3d not to have a distance scale. It would only be valid for the line that it's on as things further up in the distance would be smaller.

In 2D the zoom level is indicated in feet or meters. The same value would be technically incorrect in 3D-view mode, so iG 3.0 now uses "zoom 1", "zoom 2", "zoom 3" numbering for zoom levels in 3D.

Checked today and you guys are right. Distance is indicated while in 2D mode, but not 3D. This makes sense, it just didn't occur to me as I didn't recall noticing it with prior versions of iG.

You couldn't have noticed it in earlier versions. This is new in 3.0.
