iGuidance UMPC.. my quick thoughts

I have been using iGuidance 3 UMPC in the car for a while and I ahve to say that I like this version, with only one major issue: the non-QWERTY keyboard.

I have been using it in fullscreen mode without any front ends (they take up too much space on the screen and I have problems embedding it into Media Engine which nobody has a solution for...)

I like the big buttons, very touch screen friendly. I like the quick routing and re-routing, and I find that the ETA times are almost dead on acurate.

POI database could be better and allow for importing from a CSV or whatever so the carputer community could add to it and share. I was trying to find a hotel the other day and it didn't have the one I was looking for, same thing with a long-established gas station in another town.

I still have a few issues with positional accuracy, I wish there was a way to compensate for the 10 meter accuracy provided by the BU-353. In a city I have only been to once before, at night I got pretty confused with some complicated intersections because I wasn't quite sure where I was exactly with the map.. then again I am probably one of the few people that can get lost with a GPS...

Also, probably more of a glitch with teh 353 was that occasionally when I would stop at an intersection on a divided road it would think that I was on the other side facing the wrong direction and tell me to either make a u-turn or re-route...

Overall tho I have been happy with it, it is certainly much better than a paper map especially when you pull into a parking lot totally not knowing where you are. I do hate the keyboard tho, there must be a way to change that.. please!!!!!
