Garmin 10x, bluetooth gps receiver w/software

http://www.navigadget.com/index.php/...iver-official/

Thoughts?? At $200 for hardware & software, it seems like a good deal.

It's a lousy deal, IMHO.

Semson & Co. has a BU-353 receiver (highly regarded 'round these parts) bundled with iGuidance 3 for $159.99: http://www.semsons.com/is3mogpswiso.html
They also have a bluetooth GPS budled with iGuidance 3 for $155.99: http://www.semsons.com/ihiseblgpsre.html

If you want to go with MS Streets & Trips, the bundles get even cheaper, as low as $99.99, which is half of the $200 Garmin bundle you linked to. The software is far superior, as well.

Yea, I havn't researched Garmin's software - I have a bt gps unit & Iguidance now and it works well enough for my needs, but with everybody always saying how superior hardware-based GPS solutions were, and coming from a long-standing GPS company like Garmin, I was wondering how it faired/will fair in the software side.

Garmin's software (AutoRoute, I believe it is) isn't geared toward ease of use in a vehicle. It's not that it's bad software, mind you. It's just not practical for a vehicle.
