Help from iGuidance and Road Runner users

I have spent hours reading threads and remain somewhat confused as to what plug-ins remain useful when using the newest versions of iGuidance (3.0) and Road Runner (September 2006 build). I appreciate your recommendations with a similar set-up - thanks -

what are you talking about?

you need to be more specific, are you having problems getting IG to work with RR?

I have been able to get iGuidance to imbed in RR. But I am interested in some of the plugins that allow for changing the color scheme of maps, voice input, QWERTY keyboards, and expansion of picture when getting close to a turn (as well as any other useful alteration). It is difficult to determine what is still useful and functioning with the recent upgrades in iGuidance and RR. Thanks.

There are quite a few hacks and mods available for IG3 and newer ways of doing things.

I cant list them all here, too many , best to do a search for IG3
I can give you a run down from my memory though.

With latest version of RR you dont need skinbedder or other apps to remove the file menu,status bar, just edit RR.ini and add ignative=TRUE

you also dont need any IG launchers to remove the nag screen
In RRConfig.exe under GPS set the path to
C:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance\iGuidanceUMPC.exe|nowarning
and set window title to iGuidance

IGMon dosent work with IG3 yet

IGKeys works with IG3

there are a few mods of iGuidanceUMPC.exe to reskin the ugly buttons, im not sure of all the mods available, but there is one included with my skin (lsxvoid) that matches my skin. My skin also has a lot of IG3 only features.

There is a hack to bring back the "Coordinates" button in IG3

There is a hack "igqwerty" that will change the OSK in IG from "abc" to "qwerty".

a lot of all the previous hacks for IG2x still work, like changing the map colors etc using "Theme.ini"

cant think of anything else right now but you should be able to find all the info referenced above by searching on this forum in the GPS or RoadRunner sections.

You enter that into the RR.ini file located in the Road Runner folder. Put that in all the way down at the bottom!

I think that is already enabled in the newest release of RR. I might be wrong though. But yeah you enter that in the RR.ini file.
I use RR with Iguidance and I personally dont like all the extra features that the other programs offer. I really like the way the IG3 is already set up without any mods or hacks. The other programs just add more lag in starting IG and makes things seem a bit slower. But then again that could just be on my carpc.

With latest release of RoadRunner.
You enter iGnative=true in RR.ini
You don't need the nowarning parameter either as in C:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance\iGuidanceUMPC.exe|nowarning. RoadRunner automatically appended the parameter if there isn't one.

Wow! This thread just save me from using the BFH to get IG3 working. I too have spent hours trying to figure it out. Unfortunately, I'm still not quite there. I did then steps listed here, but when I press "GPS" button, it starts IG3 and then in less than a second it shuts right back down. Works fine outside of RR though. I know it's something simple. Just a few more hours...

And since I'm relatively new here, I'd like to give a big THANKS to everyone who has developed RR. This is really awesome stuff! And I'm just a beginner.

Well, at one point it almost worked, immediately after a reboot. This can't be that hard.

I think it was posted on here before I just cant confirm it..Does any one know if the new version of IG3 works with Navivoice.. I think they said something about the send keys or something..
