simulated gps?

ok, here my deal. i downloaded Roadnav, a free navigation system. Its a little glitchy, but im working on that. i want to test this out on my desktop and since im in an apartment complex and not a car, its kinda hard to see how it flows. I am wondering if there is a program out there that would simulate a gps signal so that you could see how you program is running without actually going anywhere. anyone no of anything remotely close to this?

if there is a "planning mode" or similar feature, you could use that.
If you have the maps already, you should be able to set a route to any destination and make sure that it will work correctly. I noticed in MapMonkey and Freedrive, it placed my default GPS coordinates in Miami, FL when I didn't have a GPS reciever installed.

I have maps for it, and i can get it to display a route, i just want to see how the screen moves/ updates. Also, this program doesnt have a way (that i know of) to do a voice direction. I am going to try and create one, but i dont want to have to continually load it up onto my carpc, then go for a drive to test it out.
