Well I have Sorted it now
got the file pocketgps_uk_sc.csv

Then coverted it to pocketgps_uk_sc.xls
then run the program getmef.exe

Then using the excel driver loaded pocketgps_uk_sc.xls
useing the dd'mm'ss settings
and using latitued
longitued so the matched the same as the header

then saved it as cat999.mef in the euroupe.ta folder

ok it tryed it one at a time till i got the right one sorted

A week ago I wrote 'em a letter asking why the road on the screen is at a slight 20 degree angle when I'm driving down a straight way and weather it's gonna be the same in the next, 7th, version. Still havn't got any freaking answers.
So, if they can't even answer a simple question then I don't think they gonna do any "extras" in terms of demo versions and whatnot.

Well, there was no demo versions of ver.4 or 6, so i don't think there will be any of ver7....but thats all speculation.

Well, actually there was a demo for version 4.4.
I don't know if it was an official one, but it was a version with only the map of Luxembourgh.
I stumbled on it while searching these forums, so I think you should be able to find it too.

I asked them if they would provide a demo for Version 7 to test it under wine. (They claim it works perfectly under wine in Linux.)
However, they said: "At this moment we do not have a demo version." So I guess this means no.

i exhanged an email today with directions, they told me a new version will be out..in 3 weeks..they said the coverage of greece will increase..niceeee

at the moment d3 is the best in coverage.. but maps are old now and have many mistakes which pc navigator 4 don't.. but navigator4 is behind in coverage

Hi,
Already tested for Greece with my laptop (connected to touch screen monitor) the following:
1- PC navigator 6
2- Map monkey
3- Centrafuse
4- Destinator 6 – with latest Greek maps- for PC XP ( downloaded from rapidshare)

No4 is the BEST!!! Simple to install and use.

PS. Still have a problem to use Autoroute 2007 with my USB GPS mouse (Sirf III and NMEA compatible)

ok we all now that D6 is the best but it is not touch screen friendly as it is at the moment and it does not have an on screen keyboard etc..this has been discussed before..you can not embed it correctly and easily enough in any FE. except by using Destiplus.. which is OK for now but i prefer D3 and freedrive better for the integration it offers with RR and the SDK..

the best solution for now is to buy centrafuse and use it as centrafuses creator has bought SDK's and integrated them (this is where all the D6 pc versions around the net come from) but i'd rather sell my car than using centrafuse.. not because it costs money, but because it is lightyears behind RR in features..(well except the D6 issue

Ok noted. With centrafuse you cannot use Destinator 6 with Greek fonts. It works is OK with Destinator 3.
PS. For touch screen I am using the windows keyboard as the greek taxi drivers!!!

I use frodo with a nice skin that i did and d3 with map monkey. I use this configuration for 2,5 years. And I wanted some changes. Thanks for the infos.
