Another thing I missed was searching POIs by distance... most often I wanted to find a gas station nearby and then that's pretty important!

so, no one tried the v7 yet...

Excuse me for dumb question.

Ok, I thought they were the same but the covers of the CD's look different so I'd better ask.

What is the story about ocx6_patch-6_5_22-1.exe!! Is that an SDK for version 6, or is that the version to come that supports version 7 (to come).

Now I'm getting confused.

I bought version 6 recently because I beleived there was a version 7 with SDK in the pipe (not yet released) that I could upgrade to.

One more convicing factor was that directions seemed to be so sensitive to input, requests and feedback. Maybe that is one reason for the delayed release? Maybe we should be grateful for the delay :-)

I could try it briefly after my job today

First cool thing I noticed is that it works full screen: NO window!

It is the first time I use PC Navigator, never used a previous version, so i'll have to get used to the menu structure, at the moment im still kinda getting lost in it...

Map is detailed (diff. color for diff. cat. roads, shows driving directions of the roads, shows doornumbers at the beginning/crossing/ending of streets, railroad, water, nature, ...)and in 3D it really markes the route well with a big arrow so you just "cant" drive wrong

Searching a place is quick and easy, it adapts the list of choises while you are typing an entry...

Route calculation and recalculation is quick (my mio c710 is a bit faster)

POI are nice you can also search on address there.

I tried to plan a route to Spain from here but when entering the address I only had the choise out of one street :s
When I zoomed in on that arrea the streets around, they had NO names...
They do mark on there website that Spain is covered for the full 100% so maybe I just did not set something or so, I'll need to have a look lol

More I didn't test yet and I didn't look if there was an OCX included.

Overall at the moment i'm kinda happy, gotta test more but I have to first find my touchscreen driver

I'll let ya know, when I know more!
