Which PocketPC do you recommend for GPS?

I love my carpc with GPS navigation but often I find myself in other vehicles when taking trips. When I look at my iGuidance 3.0 software I noticed it supports PocketPC too and I thought this might make a nice portable alternative. So the question is which PocketPC would someone recommend if I want to run iGuidance on it?

I have a USB BU-353 GPS, but I speculate I might have to buy another GPS device for the PowerPC.

Any cheap recommendations I can buy on ebay?

I haven't looked at PocketPCs in a long time so I don't know what is currently available. I did this three years ago with a Dell Axiom. I chose it because it had both a CF slot and an SD slot. The CF holds the GPS and the SD holds the maps. I also use marine chartplotting software on it for my boat and it works pretty well. My recommendation would be to find something with the biggest screen and the most slots.

I own a X51v 624 Axim, and using IG3 with a blue tooth GPS 236 slim by hulox and it works flawlessly, Visit Aximsite and search there threads on this.

You can buy CF adapter so that you can use your current cabled GPS , i did this when I got the MicroSoft Streets and trips with the ppc GPS , but i got tired of plugging it in when ever I got into my truckso the bluetooth was the answer.

If you do go with a BT GPS be sure to look for one with a hard on/off switch so you can hardwire the power cable and not worry about recharging it.

I just hit the BT switch on my AX and the software and away I go.

BTW the AXim I got will run you about 300ish not the cheapish but you can do so much with it and even turn it into a moblie carputer.

The xv6700/ppc6700 will do this apparently with IG3, but I have heard there is a slight conflict with push email and voice/action timing

The HP iPAQ 6965 is a great device. It has in built GPS. I own one. Quite happy.

Or, if you want a slightly older version of the same phone, get the HP 6515. It comes with a GPS receiver in the PDA. It's a Phone also....

I have used my XV6700 to run IG3 with a Bluetooth GPS and it works fine. I don't know about the conflicts mentioned because I don't use push services.
