GPS Software Comparison Chart
http://www.mp3car.com/wiki/index.php...mparison_Chart
I am only familiar with a handful of these programs, does anyone see any errors?

well derstinator and iGuidance doesn't take account of what different versions offer.
eg
iGuidance v3 does not have maps for Europe.
Mappoint has an OCX which frontend developers can use to access. RoadRunner does this.
Destinator 3 has a SDK and depending on which version (FreeDrive, MapMonkey, GaroNav to name a few) offers very good communication to and from.

I think made the right fixes, do think D3 should be broken down so theres 3 different ones, like one for FD, one for MM, and one for GaroNav?

A couple things I noticed:
CoPilot is touchscreen friendly, at least the one version I saw was. I believe that was v7.
StreetDeck does have European maps available, although teh development isn't as robust as the North American version.
A couple of other features that would be worthwhile that aren't in your comparison chart:
- Multiple waypoints or stops
- Auto-start of GPS
- Trip logging capability
- Ability to import custom POIs (like speed cameras or favorite locations)
Also, it may be useful to indicate versions of various software. It's likely that most would use the most current version of software (Streets & Trips 2006, for example), but notations could be made which version first included a particular fweature or function.

thanks, i'll be doing a few more charts, people shouldn't have to try half a dozen frontends to see what their feature sets are...

PN?
Destinator 5 uses PN maps. I think version 6 will as well.
It's also worth noting that the destinator version that centrafuse will be running will be version 6 but won't work with the standard destinator maps.

One correction, two comments.
Delorme does do rerouting: it has a user defineable variable distance from suggested turn that triggers the recalculation of the current route.
You may consider adding another row for SDK. This is a prime motivation for some of us using Destinator because it allows the front-end to not only send commands to the nav software but also incorporate nav data into the front-end. (The one sorely missed option of IGuidance).
You may also want to add a row for map date or make it a parenthetic for the maps checkbox.
The two comments above highlight another problem with Destinator development, i.e., D3 SDK is outstanding, however, D5&6 SDKs are currently unuseable and this info would have to be footnoted on the SDK row.

I believe I got the majority of what you said added, I don't know the differences between different versions of these programs so I can't do that stuff myself These rows are blank for the most part until someone clues us in.
I'm still on iG 3 and D3

Done, I don't know the map data dates...I think we could incorporate the dates into the same row as the maps line, or next to the check boxes for regions.

Delorme autostarts and has trip logging, but no SDK/API.

Nicely done! You could remove Routis to gain some space. Routis exists no longer. It stopped at version 1.1 some two years ago. At that time it was a re-branded version of iGuidance 1.1. iGuidance lives, Routis is dead.
