Tracking via GPS

Is there any software solution that can be used to track a GPS unit? For instance, if I have kids that drive a car with GPS and I want to see where the car is from home, could I do it.

I understand this may require the car to have some sort of access to the internet perhaps, lets assume that it has EVDO that is always on or something....humor me here.

There are approx 12.6 million ideas here. This is a very common goal, and it can be done multiple ways. From cell phone tracking from a verizon cell phone to fleet management solutions. You just need to see what works for you.

Thanks, but as we all know Google only displays the first 1000...guess I will have to settle with those results

We have a solution that might work out for both of us. The question would be how do transmit lat long information to our servers ... GPRS (cellular) and GPS for position information. We can actually handle the rest.
